Project Overview

Shumba Engineering Services, in collaboration with Muteo Consulting, was responsible for the structural engineering design and supervision of key water treatment components within the scheme. This included structural detailing and engineering calculations to ensure durability, safety, and compliance with SANS structural codes. 

Scope of Work

  • Structural design and supervision of settling tanks 
  • Filter house structural design (upper and lower gallery) 
  • Structural work for clear water tank 
  • Architectural and structural works associated with the filter building 
  • Support structures for mechanical and electrical components 

Project Outcome

The structural engineering solutions contributed to the integrity and resilience of the water treatment infrastructure. Reinforced concrete structures were designed to withstand operational loads, water pressure, and environmental factors, ensuring long-term functionality.
