Project Overview

This multi-disciplinary rehabilitation project focused on restoring and upgrading the Government Printing infrastructure at the Lebowakgomo SAPS facility. Shumba Engineering Services was appointed as the Structural Engineering Consultant to assess structural conditions, provide comprehensive designs, and oversee execution to completion. 

Scope of Work

  • Design & detailing of reinforced concrete foundations, beams, columns, and surface beds 
  • Structural assessment and redesign of roof structures 
  • Design of steel structures for the vehicle fleet carports 
  • Site inspections and monitoring for compliance 
  • Coordination with other disciplines during construction phase 

Project Outcome

All structural upgrades were completed successfully by October 2021. The facility is now structurally compliant, safer, and more efficient, with newly designed structural elements ensuring long-term durability and functional integrity.
