Project Overview

Shumba Engineering Services was appointed as the Electrical Engineer for the electrification of 81 stands in Kgobagodimo. The project involved both planning and design stages, ensuring all requirements were met within budget, time, and quality standards. Stakeholder engagement and technical submissions were key to the success of the project.

Scope of Work

  • Verification of number of connections with Ward Councillor and Eskom Electrification Planner
  • Identification of MV line connection points with local CNC approval
  • Income surveys
  • Preliminary design, site verification, and TEF (Technical Evaluation Forum) presentation preparation
  • Stakeholder sign-off and proposal submission
  • Preparation and submission of Investment Committee (IC) documents
  • Site pegging and environmental data confirmation
  • Liaison with surveyors and environmentalists to resolve discrepancies

Project Outcome

The full project planning and design scope was completed successfully and on time, with stakeholder approval achieved at multiple levels. Shumba Engineering received a performance rating of Good for this project.
